Flavoured Oolong. China. 3g / 2 tsp per 250 ml of water 90ºC 3 mins This delicious and elegant infusion is the perfect accompaniment to afternoon tea. This wonderfully smooth tea layers a subtle buttery creaminess with the delicate flowery notes of the jade oolong tea. Buttery sweetness, with a hint of caramel. Oolongs are defined as ‘partially oxidised teas’ and span between unoxidised green teas and fully oxidised black teas. The greener jade oolongs are 20-30% oxidised and have a light floral character with hints of lily of the valley, orchids and narcissus; dark oolongs are more heavily oxidised and are therefore darker in colour and stronger and richer in flavour, with flavours of figs, dates, plums and peaches in the top notes and caramelised toasty notes below.
